Job description

As a National Account Manager at LYNC Logistics, you will act as a liaison between shippers and carriers. You will focus on expanding LYNC Logistics’ customer base by helping customers move their inventory in the most cost-effective way possible. Business is initially generated through inside sales with the opportunity to travel as needed to grow your portfolio. Accounts are maintained and grown through daily communication with customers while upholding LYNC Logistics’ commitment to service. This is an individual contributor role. In this role you will create, manage and maintain customer accounts on an individual level by seeking leads and regularly following up as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, maintain and manage customers with unique needs to grow your book of business
  • Multi-task and communicate with customers via phone, email, and other mediums
  • Provide customers with shipping quotes in a timely fashion
  • Keep accurate records of data and relative activities
  • Understand and track market trends in the transportation marketplace
  • Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics/KPIs
  • Navigate through various systems and websites as needed for customers
  • Obtain, prepare, and track loads through the entire process
  • Work independently or in a team environment as needed
  • We are a flexible work environment with our standard work hours being 8-5 Monday-Friday with an hour for lunch
  • Please note, there may be circumstances that will require you to assist customers after hours

Education:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-years prior Sales or Customer Service experience required
  • Minimum of 1-years prior Logistics and Freight Broker Sales Experience required

Skills & Characteristics:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suites/365 is required
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in challenging situations and express adequate problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Desire to thrive in a professional office environment and demonstrate strong collaborative skills
  • Capability to be flexible, and manage multiple vendors at any given time with urgency and clear prioritization
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written), conflict management, and organization with strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness
  • Strong work ethic with a “can–do” attitude
  • Comfortable working independently and within a team environment
